Honorable Mentions
There are a few dessert flavors that, while good flavors, didn't quite break into my top five list, but I still want to mention them regardless.
Pure FML Red FML Red is a peppermint flavor, and it's the damned closest thing that I've found to a real peppermint candy. So while it isn't a true dessert flavor, I still feel that it goes with the holiday spirit, and nonetheless deserved a mention. You can read my review on it here.Haze Pacoca
Paçoca is a very interesting flavor, as it's actually a Brazilian candy. Haze has a huge audience in Brazil, so they decided to do an homage to Brazil's favorite candy with this flavor - a lightly salted peanut flavor. It's a unique blend that makes you sing "Paçoca Roasting on an Open Fire"... That's how that song goes, right? My review on it can be found here.
Trifecta Dark Blend - Apple Pie
So this flavor doesn't quite make the list because it's not a perfectly accurate apple pie flavor. There's a touch of anise in this mix, and thus, it ends up tasting more like a Double Apple Pie, per se. That said, it's still a fantastic blend of spices as well, and it makes for a delicious flavor, albeit not totally accurate to its name. You can check out my review on it here.
The Top Five
These are the flavors that I felt were worth to be called the true top five dessert flavors, even if they may not all be desserts.
5. Mint Chocolate
The number five spot is actually going to be shared between a few flavors - Tangier Chocolate Mint, Fumari Mint Chocolate Chill, and Pure Mint Chocolate. All three are fantastic representations of a mint chocolate flavor, and they're all too close for us to give any specific one to. This is another one that isn't a real dessert flavor, though mint and chocolate combos always bring me back and make me think about the holiday season. All three brands have a fantastic interpretation of the flavor, and you can't really go wrong with any of them!
4. Fumari - Blueberry Muffin
You may argue with me about this one, but hear me out first. Every Christmas, when I go to my grandparents house, I fully expect a grandiose breakfast on Christmas morning. Blueberry muffins are almost always a part of this feast, and I'm sure there are others who, like me, associate blueberry muffins with Christmas. So even if I don't make my way down to Georgia for this Christmas, I can still smoke some Blueberry Muffin and feel right at home.
3. Alchemist Tobacco - Peppermint Mocha
Breaking into our number three spot, we've got Alchemist's Peppermint Mocha flavor. PM is pretty much exactly what I think of when I think of getting cozy with a warm beverage beside a fireplace. It exudes a semi-sweet chocolate flavor, while being complimented by a smooth yet subtle peppermint flavor. The two mesh insanely well, and create a delightful blend that screams "ho ho ho".
2. Chai
So at the number two spot, we've got another double recommendation. The overall recommendation is going go to Chai flavors, and more specifically, it's going to go to Fumari's "Spiced Chai" and Lavoo's "Viceroy Chai". This may not be a dessert flavor, per se, however chai is something that absolutely goes with the holiday season. There's nothing better on a cold winter day than coming home to a hot cup of chai, or, if you're a hookah smoker, a nice (and hopefully not hot) bowl of Chai. If you're a tea head like I am, then you may want to opt for the earthier and more realistic Lavoo Viceroy Chai. If you just enjoy chai at Starbucks with the rest of the peasants, then you can enjoy a much sweeter and "poppier" chai in Fumari's "Spiced Chai".
1. Starbuzz Vintage - Tiramisu
Starbuzz Vintage is one of those brands that has some rather bland flavors, and some rather good flavors. But when their flavors are good, they're good. Tiramisu is the perfect example of this - a very heavy, and decadently sweet and realistic tasting Tiramisu flavor. I don't believe that Tiramisu has been attempted by any other brand to this date, but there's no question that Starbuzz's take on Tiramisu blew everything else out of the water. You won't find a better dessert flavor than this, and it's exactly what I expect my grandma to have ready for dessert after Christmas dinner. It's a very heavy smoke, much like the actual dessert feels in your stomach after eating it.
Smoking Calories?
Thankfully, while these may be some great dessert flavors, you can't gain calories from smoking them, so feel free to enjoy the flavors without any of the guilt! Hopefully this list helped you find the perfect dessert flavor to entertain your holiday guests, or just helped you find a new favorite flavor in general! Have you tried any of these flavors? Which do you like? What do you think is missing from this list? Let us know in the comments below! As always guys and girls, thanks so much for reading, and happy smokes!
